Suman Pakala leads the expansion of our highthrouput phenotying platform DIRT within the arpa-e ROOTS project. Currently he works on connecting mass storage of the national cyberinfrastructure CyVerse to high performance computing platforms to enable root phenotyping for researchers and breeders world-wide. His efforts provide the infrastructure to reveal the genotype to phenotype map in plants. He joined the computational plant science lab in May 2017 and is an expert in software engineering and bioinformatics. He recieved his M.sc. in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina.
