Postdoctoral Researcher

In December 2019, I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical and Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. This followed my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and graduate degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering from Chonnam National University in South Korea. Before pursuing my doctorate, I held a position as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics in Bangladesh. My areas of expertise include image and signal processing, analysis of drone imagery, AI-based machine learning, and precision farming techniques. Currently, my research is centered on using machine learning for plant root phenotyping and detecting plant pathogens in field conditions. My overarching aim is to enhance agricultural practices through innovative AI-powered technologies.

In collaboration with the Yuma Center of Excellence in Desert Agriculture, he uses drones to detect diseases in leafy greens production to estimate yield loss and predict spread throughout the grower fields (see Project Page)
